Essar is at the threshold of another big spurt of growth. The organisation’s strength has always been its “People” and will continue to be so in future. Priya plays an integral role in strengthening the People practices of the organisation. She is responsible for managing HR for International businesses, Corporate Functions, as well as handling Learning & Development. Priya brings in more than 20 years of experience in the area of Human Resources, having worked across industries like Manufacturing, Pharma, IT and Retail. In her last assignment as Chief People Officer – Hometown & Ezone, Priya was responsible for driving a transformational HR agenda that focused on organisational culture, building a talent pipeline and initiating and aligning all people practices to business achievement. She has earlier worked with Cipla as Head HR – International Business, and volunteered with Akanksha Foundation. At Essar, her earlier stints involved her working at Senior Management roles, initially with Essar Oil and then as Head – International HR (Corporate HR). Priya has done her Master’s in Organisational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania.

Pankaj Kalra has 23 years of experience and a demonstrated track record of working across multiple sectors. His functional skill set includes expertise in M&A, fundraising (both onshore and offshore), accounting, internal controls, procurement and financial modelling. Prior to joining Essar, he was CFO of Cairn Oil & Gas, and has been associated with Reliance, Aircel, Idea, American Tower and EY. Pankaj is a rank holder Chartered Accountant and a Company Secretary, with a Bachelor’s degree in commerce from Sri Ram College of Commerce, New Delhi.
